Senior Partner

dean-robertsDean Roberts has been in manufacturing for over 30 years. He has spent the last 10 years in Private Equity in both management and investor roles. Most recently he served as the President of the Aftermarket Division for Milacron, a leading supplier of plastics processing technologies and industrial fluids. Dean established an aftermarket culture, developed the vision and strategy, redesigned the operations through organizational development, and executed a new growth plan. This resulted in 38% aftermarket growth in the ServTek and Wear Tech brands in 3 years. Also, 3 new aftermarket plant locations were started up and a repair plant acquisition was completed.

Prior to Milacron, he led the Aftermarket sales and service organization of Electro-Motive Diesel as Vice President and General Manager. Electro-Motive Diesel is the world’s largest builder of diesel-electric locomotives for all commercial railroad applications: Intercity passenger, commuter, freight, switching, industrial and mining. Dean grew the business by 36% in 3 years with a focus on solutions that improved customers’ productivity and machine performance. This included the startup of 2 remanufacturing plants in North America.

Dean’s public company experience includes 17 years at Honeywell where he served in several leadership positions in both the Aerospace and Engineered Materials Sectors. As General Manager of the Greer Engines, Systems and Services, he turned around and consolidated the OEM Operations and Repair and Overhaul Operations into a single business entity. This required rethinking the strategy and creating a Center of Excellence concept that optimized the business for U.S. manufacturing. This result is a successful turbine engine business that manufacturers new OEM parts, assembles and test new engines, repairs OEM parts, and repairs and overhauls aftermarket engines.

Dean has a M.B.A. in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He earned his Black Belt For Leadership Certification while at Honeywell where he studied the Lean Enterprise that included Value Stream Mapping.
